My name is Jenny. I am a 15 year old freshman at South River High School. My parents are Tom and Katie. My brother is 13 and one-half years old and in the 8th grade at Central Middle School.
When I began kindergarten, the speech teacher detected a hearing loss just by talking to me. My parents had me checked out by Child Find. Just a few months before, Child Find said I was okay. After three hearing tests I was diagnosed with a bilateral symmetrical mild to moderate hearing loss. Ten years later, I have a moderate to moderately severe hearing loss.
I have many interests. I am a Senior Girl Scout, and received my Silver Award last year. I have been in a bowling league for four years.
